OUR CONTRIBUTION

Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals

By reducing ocean plastic contamination and empowering local communities through new sources of income and education, we actively contribute to 6 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were formally adopted in September 2015 by the UN General Assembly with Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

Alleviation of poverty across low-income fishermen communities

Every waste collector in West Africa will
get 1€ for the amount of waste collected.

Building a clean- up family to increase employment

We are currently increasing by 200% the
income of 500 families of fishermen
involved in the collection of plastic on
coastal areas.

Quality of education

Ensure inclusive and equitable education for the ones in need

Combat climate change and its impacts

Collecting marine plastic from the Ocean and the coastal environments.

1 ton of plastic gear rescued = 125 tons of fish saved

Collecting marine plastic and preventing
it from decomposing in the Ocean has a
direct impact on marine life.

Revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development
